(Calgary, AB) – The Canadian Junior Hockey League, which oversees ten junior hockey leagues across Canada including the Ontario Junior Hockey League, released its first Top 20 Ranking of the new year this morning, placing the Buffalo Junior Sabres at #10. It is a drop in the ranking for Buffalo, which peaked at #7 heading into the Christmas holiday.
Aiding in Buffalo’s drop is three losses in its last four games, which has allowed the Georgetown Raiders to catch the Jr. Sabres in what is now officially a two-team race for first place in the OJHL West Division.
The full CJHL Top 20 Ranking can be seen at this link.
The Jr. Sabres return to action tonight at home against the Burlington Cougars, beginning at 7:30pm at the Northtown Center at Amherst.
