Of Christiano, General Manager and Head Coach Sean Wallace said, “As we approached the trade deadline we were looking for a player we could bring in to elevate our forward group. Sam was the right piece.”
Christiano provided a dynamic dimension to the Jr. Sabres offense, and has been a strong veteran presence on and off the ice. Christiano played over 81 games between the North American Hockey League, where he had six goals and 16 assists. Cortland plays in the SUNYAC and currently sits in 12th place in the country USCHO poll. Cortland finished fourth in the SUNYAC conference this season.

The entire Jr. Sabres organization congratulates Sam on his commitment to Cortland and wish Sam all the best in his next chapter. We are excited to see him move on to Cortland for his next four years.
