(Mississauga, ON) – The Ontario Junior Hockey League announced today that Buffalo Jr. Sabres goaltender Parker Gahagen finished second in voting for the league’s inaugural Goaltender of the Year postseason honor, which was ultimately awarded to Charlie Finn of the Kingston Voyageurs.
Recognizing Gahagen, the league stated in its news release: “Gahagen helped lead the Jr. Sabres to their first regular season Conference title in franchise history, finishing second among all netminders with 29 wins and seven shutouts, while also posting the league’s fifth best save percentage at .924%. ”
Gahagen debuted with the Jr. Sabres last year and will move on to West Point, New York next academic year to continue his hockey career for Army’s NCAA Division I program.
