On October 25th the Jr. Sabres took on the Collingwood Blues at home, with Aiden McKenna getting the start in net. Josh Pryzstal would get the Jr. Sabres on the board early in the first with assists from Brody Seitz and Zach Derito. The Blues would quickly take the 2-1 lead to start the second period. Gavin Klaassen would tie the game back up for the Jr. Sabres with an assist from Cameron Doran. The rest of the game would be the Blues as they put up three more goals to take home the 5-2 win. McKenna made 25 saves on the night.
Next up, the Jr. Sabres headed on the road to take on the Niagara Falls Canucks on October 27th, with Leif Ekblad getting the start in net. The Canucks would quickly take a 1-0 lead to start the game. The Jr. Sabres would quickly answer to tie the game off a goal from Tyler Isherwood assisted by Michael Kull and Haeden Ellis. After ending the first period tied at one a piece, the second period was all the Canucks as they scored a power play goal to take a 2-1 lead. The Canucks did not let up as they quickly made it 3-1 early in the third period. Patrick Cole would answer for the Jr. Sabres to bring them back within one with assists from Seitz and Pryzstal. The Canucks would quickly answer with another goal to make the game 4-2. Ellis would get the Jr. Sabres back within one with assists from Carter Cwiklinski and Dylan Mcfadden. Ultimately, the Jr. Sabres would fall short losing to the Canucks 4-3, with Ekblad making 28 saves.
The Jr. Sabres are now 11-7-0-1 on the season. Next up the Jr. Sabres are back at home on November 1st as they take on the Caledon Admirals.
