The Ontario Junior Hockey League suspended Buffalo Jr. Sabres forward Nico Gonzalez for two games on Sunday, the result of his head contact major penalty committed during Saturday’s 5-4 overtime loss to Mississauga at the OJHL Governor’s Showcase in Oakville, Ontario.
The penalty occured at the 19:03 mark of the second period.
Gonzalez will be ineligible to play in Monday night’s home game against Georgetown and Wednesday’s home game against Newmarket. He’ll be able to resume play when the Jr. Sabres travel to Kingston on Saturday, October 5.
