Jr. Sabres Fall 4-3; Split with Jamestown

(Jamestown, NY) – Pat Egan scored twice to lead the Buffalo Jr. Sabres offense, but the Jamestown Ironmen avenged Buffalo’s victory in the first game of this exhibition series by defeating the Jr. Sabres, 4-3, at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena.

Sam Berg also scored for Buffalo, then took part in a third period tussle in what was a physcial game with plenty of penalties.  Scoring for Jamestown were Tyler Dunagan, Luc Gerdes, Jeff McFarland and Elliot Tisdale.

As they did in the first game, Jamestown and Buffalo played both of their goalies, switching them midway in the second period.

The Buffalo Jr. Sabres open their Ontario Junior Hockey League 2012-13 season on Sunday, September 9 at the Toronto Jr. Canadiens, then host their home opener on Wednesday, September 12 at 7:30pm against the Burlington Cougars at the Northtown Center at Amherst.
