Jr. Sabres fall in Markham, 6-2

(Markham, ON) – Rocky Gruttadauria’s power play goal gave the Buffalo Junior Sabres the first lead of the game, but the host Markham Waxers then exploded for six goals on their way to handing Buffalo a 6-2 loss.

Jonas Fredrikkson scored the Jr. Sabres’ second goal in the third period.  Chris Luker led Buffalo in scoring with two assists.  Six different Waxers scored: Adam DiBrina (power play), Robert Angiolella (power play), Sammy Banga, Bryson Morrison, Calvin Higley and Jamie Kendra.

Goaltender Curran McNamara took the loss in the Buffalo net, stopping 38 shots.

The Jr. Sabres return to action tomorrow night in Hamilton against the Red Wings.
