Last-minute heroics gave the Buffalo Jr. Sabres their fourth consecutive victory with a 4-3 regulation win over the North York Rangers on Wednesday night at HARBORCENTER.

With the win, Buffalo is now 3-0 against the Rangers in the 2015-2016 OJHL season.

A pair of goals by Rangers forward Ted Hunt gave North York a 2-0 lead with the second period still young, but the Jr. Sabres weren’t ready to lay down quite yet.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres captain Zach Evancho scored twice in a span of 5:29, with both goals coming on the man advantage, to tie the game at two.

North York would regain the lead on a power-play goal of their own, scored by Michael Morgan with less than two minutes to go in the second period.

Buffalo came into the third period down 3-2, but battled back to once again tie the game, this time at the hands of Griffin Lunn. Lunn tallied his 12th of the season less than seven minutes into the third to even things at three.

Things stayed even for most of the remainder of regulation.

It would be Josh Biasillo playing the hero, scoring with just 1:08 remaining in the third to give Buffalo its first lead of the night – and the game-winner.

With that, the Jr. Sabres are now on a four-game winning streak.

With an assist tonight, Dylan Seitz extended his point streak (0-4) to three games. Evancho now has 15 points in the team’s last nine games. Biasillo extends his point streak (3-1) to three games, while Griffin Lunn also extended his streak (4-1) to three games.

Tucker Weppner had 21 saves in the win, while Gianluca Baggetta registered 37 saves for the Rangers.

The Jr. Sabres return to action with a pair of road games this weekend, visiting the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots and Toronto Jr. Canadiens.
