(Amherst, NY) – Buffalo Junior Sabres defenseman Jacob Ledyard and forward Rocky Gruttadauria will both serve suspensions as the result of penalties in a third period fracas during the team’s 6-3 home loss to Hamilton.
Ledyard, for his head contact major, will sit out the next two games, making him ineligible for Saturday night’s game at Brampton and Monday night’s game at home against Stouffville. Gruttadauria, for his fighting major late in the period, will sit out Saturday night’s game but will be able to return next Monday.
Four Hamilton players were also suspended for their roles in the Tuesday night brawl: Luke Laidlaw and Ryan Lewis will both serve two-game suspensions while Donovan Gardiner and Nick Scamurra will serve single game bans.
