OJHL West Falls 4-1 in Day Two

(Wellington, ON) – Buffalo’s Tyler Gjurich scored what proved to be the only goal by the OJHL West All-Stars, who fell 4-1 to QJAAAHL Burrows of Quebec in Day Two of the Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge in Wellington, Ontario.

Ryan Schmelzer assisted on Gjurich’s goal, which came early in the second half of this two-half format showcase tournament.  Schmelzer, who had a goal and an assist in Thursday’s 4-1 win over OJHL North, is tied for first in scoring for the OJHL West All-Star team with three points, tied with Brad Kobryn (Milton Icehawks).

The West will return to game action tonight against CCHL Robinson (All-Stars from the Central Canadian Hockey League).
