Seward Commits to Princeton

(Amherst, NY) – The Buffalo Junior Sabres are pleased to announce that forward David Seward has informed the team of his decision to commit to Princeton University.

“I’m very excited about going to Princeton upon admission,” said Seward in a conversation with BuffaloJuniorSabres.com. “Princeton is regarded as one of the most prestigious academic schools in the country, and I have always taken schoolwork and academics very seriously, so it was a no-brainier for me. The campus is beautiful and the history behind the school is incredible.”

Seward has not yet declared an academic major but suggested he is leaning toward business studies.  A 1993 birth year player, he is anticipated to begin at Princeton in 2013.

Seward is the third current Jr. Sabre to commit to a NCAA Division I school and the fourth player currently  rostered to confirm his college plans.  Earlier this season Andrew Poturalski confirmed his commitment to the University of New Hampshire beginning in 2013.  Josh Kielich has committed to Canisius College in Buffalo, also beginning in 2013.  Earlier this month, the team announced that Dennis Playfair will enroll at SUNY Geneseo next fall.

“Playing for the Jr. Sabres has really developed me,” said Seward. “Every year of hockey I play, I keep Improving my skills, and playing for them has improved my speed and overall general play.

“Since joining the team I would say that I have learned that hard work and constancy really do pay off.  I have always been a hard working type of player, but this year I have learned that my style of play is hard to find, so sticking to that has had its benefits!”

The Jr. Sabres congratulate Seward for his college commitment.
