(Amherst, NY) – Buffalo Junior Sabres forward David Seward and defenseman Larry Smith have both been suspended for the next two games, the result of penalties in Monday night’s game against Milton.
Seward was penalized with a checking from behind major, which requires a game misconduct, but got into a fight before he left the ice. Smith was involved in a second fight that broke out during the same stoppage of play at the 9:29 mark of the third period.
These suspensions make Seward and Smith ineligible to play during the Junior Sabres’ upcoming two-game road trip. The team travels to Milton on Friday evening for a rematch with the Icehawks, followed by a game against the Burlington Cougars on Saturday night.
