Congratulations are due to Buffalo Jr. Sabres alumni Seth Benson, who recently announced his commitment to continue his education and hockey career with the Salve Regina University Seahawks for the 2020-21 season. The 1999-born winger will be first Minnesotan-born player to suit up for the Seahawks, who play in the NCAA’s Division III.

Benson joined the OJHL’s Jr. Sabres late in the 2019-20 campaign, but quickly made an impact. He recorded 10 points (5-5) in 18 regular season games, then added a pair of assists in six playoff games. The 6’4″, 201-pound forward regularly made his presence on the ice known and was a leader on and off the ice.

Before coming to Buffalo, Benson played for the NAHL’s Topeka Pilots and Jamestown Rebels.

Congratulations, Seth!
