DeSimone named OJHL 1st Team All-Star

MISSISSAUGA, ON – Buffalo Jr. Sabres defenseman Nick DeSimone was named by the Ontario Junior Hockey League on Wednesday as one of the members of the 1st Team All-Stars for the 2013-14 regular season.

DeSimone (left photo), who is in his first year with the Jr. Sabres, was fifth on the team in scoring and leading all defenseman on the team with 13 goals and 38 assists in 52 games. His 51 points were also the second-leading output by a defenseman in the OJHL, second only to fellow 1st Team All-Star Michael Prapavessis of Toronto Lakeshore.

Buffalo forward Pat Egan (right photo), meanwhile, was named to the OJHL’s 2nd Team All-Stars. The second-year forward led the team in scoring in the regular season with 31 goals and 47 assists in 51 games.
