(Amherst, NY) – The Buffalo Jr. Sabres now know their second round opponent in the Ontario Junior Hockey League playoffs. They’ll face the North York Rangers, who finished off the Oakville Blades in six games Friday night. That result, in addition to Georgetown’s elimination of the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots in six games, confirmed the South-West conference matchups for the second round.
Given the difficulty in securing available home ice on short notice, the Jr. Sabres will be hosting two of its playoff home games at rinks other than the Northtown Center at Amherst. Game One will be held on Wednesday, March 13 at 7:00pm at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo.
The Jr. Sabres and Rangers were finalizing the remainder of the schedule as of Saturday morning. Be sure to check www.buffalojuniorsabres.com as well as our official Facebook and Twitter accounts for the latest playoff information as it is completed.
