On Wednesday November 15th the Jr. Sabres hosted the Leamington Flyers at home, with Aiden McKenna getting the start in net. The first period was all quiet as neither team got on the board. The Flyers would take a three goal lead in the second period before the Jr. Sabres would break their shutout with a goal from Patrick Cole. Cole was assisted by Jaden Ward and Dylan Mcfadden. With just under five minutes left in the game, the Flyers would take a 4-1 lead. The Jr. Sabres did not back down as they soon got their second goal with a goal by Mcfadden assisted by Cameron Doran and Ward. Mcfadden would get another goal for the Jr. Sabres late in the period assisted by Doran and Cole. Unfortunately, the Jr. Sabres were unable to get another one past the Flyers goalie and fell to the Flyers 4-3.
On Friday November 17th the Jr. Sabres were on the road to take on the Burlington Cougars, with McKenna getting the start in net. Gavin Klaassen would get the Jr. Sabres on the board in the first period with assists by Ward and Josh Przystal. The Cougars would take the 2-1 lead in the second period as they kept the Jr. Sabres off the board for the period. The Cougars would get their third goal in the third period before scoring an empty net goal to seal the 4-1 win. McKenna made 34 saves in the Jr. Sabres road loss.
The Jr. Sabres are now 13-10-0-2 and sit in 5th place in the West Conference. The Jr. Sabres host the Mississauga Chargers on November 22nd.
