(Stouffville, ON) – Shane Bennett scored a goal and added an assist and goalie Parker Gahagen stopped 41 shots as the Buffalo Junior Sabres skated to a 3-1 win on the road against the Stouffville Spirit.
Mark Arnone and Josh Kielich scored Buffalo’s other goals while Nolan Shehran recorded an assist in his Jr. Sabres debut. Shehran was called up to fill one of the five roster spots made available with that many players sitting out suspensions resulting from Monday night’s brawl at home against Burlington.
Christian Finch scored the Spirit’s only goal in a game that, compared to Monday night, was much calmer with only 22 total penalty minutes issued.
The Jr. Sabres return to action on Tuesday, November 15 at home against the Milton Icehawks.
