AMHERST – Buffalo Junior Sabres defenseman Nick DeSimone has confirmed his commitment to Union College and its NCAA Division I hockey program.
DeSimone visited the Schnectady, NY based campus recently, and announced his commitment over this past weekend.
A resident of East Amherst, NY, DeSimone is currently the team’s seconde-leading scorer with eight goals and 19 assists in 23 games. He becomes the sixth member of the 2013-14 Jr. Sabres roster to confirm a college commitment. Also committed to schools are: Ryan Schmelzer and Nolan Sheeran (Canisius, beginning 2014), Mason Evans (Connecticut College, 2014), Dennis Gilbert (Niagara University, 2015) and Michael Ederer (St. Lawrence, 2015).
