Four-goal “Berst” leads Jr. Sabres’ 10-0 rout

(Amherst, NY) – After Nick Berst scored the goal which completed a hat trick, teammate Jonas Frederiksson quickly acquired the puck from the referee so that Berst could keep a memento from this special occasion.  As it turns out, Berst wasn’t done scoring just yet.

Berst scored four goals while Tim Kielich added two more as the Junior Sabres routed the Brampton Capitals, 10-0, at the Northtown Center in Amherst on Saturday night.  Josh Kielich, Tim’s cousin, also scored for Buffalo as did Mark Arnone, Ryan Schmelzer and newly acquired Alex Dagnal.

Parker Gahagen stopped 21 shots to earn the shutout win in a game filled with fights and penalties.  The Junior Sabres return to action on Monday night at home against the Georgetown Raiders.
