(Georgetown, ON) – Jacob Ledyard scored twice, with Josh Kielich and Mark Arnone adding solo goals, as the Buffalo Junior Sabres snapped a two-game losing streak with a big win in Georgetown against the host Raiders, 4-2.
The victory brings Buffalo just trwo points behind the second place Raiders in the Ontario Junior Hockey League West Division standings.
Shane Bennett assisted on all four Buffalo goals, which came unanswered after the hosts jumped to an early 2-0 lead on goals by Patrick Megannety and Brendan Woods.
Curran McNamara made five saves for the Junior Sabres before being replaced in front of the net by Parker Gahagen, who stopped 35 shots in the Jr. Sabres’ comeback.
Kielich also added an assist, while Ryan Schmelzer recorded two. Dennis Playfair, acquired just before the Thanksgiving holiday, assisted on Arnone’s late goal.
The Jr. Sabres return home on Tuesday night for a home game against the Hamilton Red Wings, beginning at 7:30pm.
