Jr. Sabres lose lead & game, 6-3

(Amherst, NY) – Tim Kielich, Shane Bennett and Chris Luker scored in the first period to give the Buffalo Jr. Sabres an early lead at home, but the wheels fell off as a determined Hamilton Red Wings side battled back to erase that lead and skate away 6-3 winners.

Cam Jude scored first for Hamilton, with Andrew Radjenovic and Luke Laidlaw putting in two-goal performances.  Adam Nanji also scored for the Wings.

The game, which did feature a first period fight, then remained relatively calm until the third period.  In all, 77 penalty minutes were distributed with suspensions pending.

The Jr. Sabres travel to Brampton on Saturday before returning home on Monday, December 5 to host Stouffville.

Jr. Sabres head coach Grant Ledyard was not present for Tuesday night’s game vs. Hamilton, attending personal business out of town.  The assistants opted to run the team jointly in Ledyard’s absence.  The head coach will be back for this weekend’s road game in Brampton.

Because of Ledyard’s absence, there will be no edtion of “Coach’s Chat” this week.  The video segment will return next week.
